Steve Wozniak, one of the founders of tech giant Apple, announces his belief on how the tech industry would prosper better if all tech giants all work together.
The Apple co-founder sees great potential with this partnership.
“I wish to God that Apple and Google were partners in the future,” Wozniak says. “Sometimes I say, ‘Go to Joe’s Diner’ and Siri doesn’t know where Joe’s Diner is. And very often usually, I find out that Android does.”
According to Wozniak, Android has some better features when it comes to directions to different places. He attributes this to Android’s access to Google search. Apart from that, an Apple-Google partnership can encourage a culture of openness.
Samsung, Wozniak states, is also a good possible partner to Apple. “There are good things I see on Samsung phones that I wish were in my iPhone.”
Other tech experts don’t share Wozniak’s opinion, though. “I don’t think [Wozniak] has any insight or influence into the inner workings of Apple,” says Pocket-lint founder Stuart Miles. This, however, take away the remote possibility that Apple and Google, or even Samsung, will consider a working relationship in the future.
