Our roommate for the summer took us to his family cabin in So. Oregon for Labor Day weekend. The cabin has been built by hand by his family going back a number of generations and is a homebase for when the men in the family log the trees in the winter or mine for gold in the summer.
My Mamiya 645's battery died right when I got there, so I made due and only shot with my Holga and Action Sampler. I'm planning on going back sometime in December to do this place some real justice (hopefully)!
We ran through the forest, cooked huge meals, built fires keep warm and cook, chopped down trees (dead ones don't worry), shot at beer cans, want fishing (only found craw dads) and enjoyed complete isolation. In short: It was MAGICALLLLL.
