Thursday was the Big Tree Little EP release party/show at Cafe Du Nord! I unfortunately missed the opening act French Cassettes, but I arrived in time to see see Chrystian Rawk rock my face and camera, and watch Big Tree tear it up to bring their EP baby into the world RIGHT!

Here's the Analog...Saturday night was too cool. Great line-up featuring James & Evander, Exray's and Mwahaha at the tiny gem of a venue: White Rock. It was one of those special aligning-of-the-stars shows where crowd meets setting meets performers and thus the cosmos explodes leaving in its wake one of the most memorable shows of the Fall so far! Halloween weekend house show! The mood was classy: wine and classy snacks for people to satisfy their needs, a sweet basement with bountiful and comfortable couches, not to mention the exquisit stage/lighting design that help and to the aesthetic of the photos.

October in the Bay has been fluctuating between true autumn and the beloved Indian Summer. Fortunately for us, my friends and I could squeeze in a quick overnight trip to Salt Point off of Hwy 1.
We saw a big turnout lane on the side of the the road and on the opposite side of the highway was one of the most beautiful coastline fields I have ever seen. Trails zig-zaged throughout the flat expanse, with large rock formations dotting the landscape.
I brought my newly fixed Yashica-D twin lens camera along for the frolic.
My roommates and I playing around in the park on the last night our summer subletter spent with us. Fun way to end summer!
Some friends from college and I decided it would be a jolly good time to go camp somewhere in Oregon. Indeed it was, though we certainly pushed our luck on the Columbia river as we were blissfully unaware of the insanely dangerous trip we were taking in our canoe.
I had a lot of fun bringing along my little pastic Action Sampler camer. It take 4 photos on one frame over the course of roughly a second and a half.
Local dancer Sam Stone held an amazing dance recital with other Bay Area dancer friends at Sugar's House of Golden Carp (a house with a big backyard/cozy cozy event venue) 10.21.12. There were a number of routines featuring veteran dancers, good spirited hosts and the unsuspecting redheads/blondes in the audience.
All in all it was a lovely event with tasty curry, warm whiskey-cider and the collision of music and movement.Our roommate for the summer took us to his family cabin in So. Oregon for Labor Day weekend. The cabin has been built by hand by his family going back a number of generations and is a homebase for when the men in the family log the trees in the winter or mine for gold in the summer.
My Mamiya 645's battery died right when I got there, so I made due and only shot with my Holga and Action Sampler. I'm planning on going back sometime in December to do this place some real justice (hopefully)!
We ran through the forest, cooked huge meals, built fires keep warm and cook, chopped down trees (dead ones don't worry), shot at beer cans, want fishing (only found craw dads) and enjoyed complete isolation. In short: It was MAGICALLLLL.
